Rewriting instead of doing. Sigh.

I only have three days left to hit my TO DO goal of 85% complete before vacation. This weekend I realized that a few things would pretty much drag me down. So I decided to spend a little quality procrastinating time reorganizing my priorities. I figure a short-term and long-term list will do the trick, with the short term stuff due before vacation, and the long term stuff due before October (which I just pulled randomly out of my ass). As long as I'm making progress toward the long-term tasks every week then I'm meeting my goal. I decided that if something would take longer than four or five hours to complete it would fall under long-term project (except all my paper sorting, because I want that done and over with already regardless of how long it takes, and except for the longer projects that I somehow already did). Italics indicate in process.
The Long-Term TO DO:
- Work on images database, since it's been pending for a really long time
- Move mom's files off old computer onto new
- Switch around equipment to give mom better DVD player in her room
- Finish magazines and recycle
- Enter all books, including ones in storage, into LibraryThing account by bringing laptop to unit, record ISBNs into already-existing book spreadsheet, can then enter those into LT at home
- Read all books hanging around unread & write all reviews
Find tapes, and then watch the rest of Deadwood from last season- Watch entire season of The Riches that have on iPod
- Watch all of Dead Like Me season 1and then return to Nicole
- Post all remaining pictures on Flickr (only about a year behind!)
- Add Amazon links to
greenstreetbks reviewed titles? Maybe B&N or Powells?
- Take more pictures; more experimental, less cats
Go mattress shopping, maybe buy- Look at cars, but probably don't buy
- Look for second job? Maybe library job. Not teaching next semester, should do something with time
