The Typealizer: Applies Myers-Briggs-esque analysis to your blog.

Apparently [livejournal.com profile] greenstreetbks is ESTP — the Doers

The active and playful type. They are especially attuned to people and things around them and often full of energy, talking, joking and engaging in physical out-door activities.

The Doers are happiest with action-filled work which craves their full attention and focus. They might be very impulsive and more keen on starting something new than following it through. They might have a problem with sitting still or remaining inactive for any period of time.

And [livejournal.com profile] llcoolvad is ESFP — the Performers

The entertaining and friendly type. They are especially attuned to pleasure and beauty and like to fill their surroundings with soft fabrics, bright colors and sweet smells. They live in the present moment and don't like to plan ahead — they are always in risk of exhausting themselves.

The enjoy work that makes them able to help other people in a concrete and visible way. They tend to avoid conflicts and rarely initiate confrontation — qualities that can make it hard for them in management positions.

I guess my writing style is all ES*P. Watch me tapdance!

You're often a bundle of joy, passion, or drama.

You're lively and inspiring. People love to be around your energy.

So I started to do this harmless books meme, but in my inevitable linksy searchage, I found out that this isn't the right list, and that the whole business about average adults reading 6 books thing is pulled out of someone's ass. So here's the meme, my comments, and additions (sorry  [profile] kicking_k!!):

Do you have a daily routine? List what it looks like. Are there any areas you could/should change?

Weekday (Tu-Sat):
Alarm goes off at 8:55am. Shower, dry, get dressed, grab bag and computer and lunch, get into car. Drive toward work, drive-thru either Dunkin Donuts or McDonald's for breakfast food. Get to work at 10am, park, carry all crap up to desk. Boss greets me with "You're going to hate me, I left you stuff on your desk". Eat breakfast. Spend all day doing stuff. Eat lunch at some point. Listen to internet radio or furtive youtube videos or ipod selections, occasionally listen to audiobooks. Surf the web in idle moments. Read NYT.com and Boston.com headlines and "most emailed" sections. Field several calls from mother all day regarding the squirrels or the cat or what we're having for dinner. Chat with coworkers, occasionally bicker with coworkers. IM with various friends about nothing much. Leave work, drive home. Make dinner, eat with Mom, clean up after dinner. Park self in front of computer and tv (side-by-side, natch). Watch stuff, surf more stuff. Move cat off keyboard, IM with friends, chat on phone sometimes. TV off around 1am. Surf more or read in bed. Sleep around 2am. If it's a Saturday, meet P after work, see movie/have dinner/do both. Sometimes include Jenn.

Weekend (Sunday):
Sleep as late as possible (i.e., as late as cat allows). Read NYT.com and Boston.com. Read links blogs like metafilter; fall down link wells. IM with friends about nothing much. Listen to iPod. Drink Diet Coke. Get sick of internet, poke nose outside. If it's cold out, get into bed with cat and book. If it's nice out, go somewhere. Get hungry, eat something sandwich-like around 2pm. Back in bed, or back on 'net. Maybe see friends. Later, make dinner, cleanup. Do laundry? Avoid laundry? TV/net/IM/phone. Maybe run dishwasher.

Weekend (Monday):
Chores day. Up around 10:30. Put recycling and returnables in car, make grocery list, consult sales flyers. Grab canvas bags & library books & head out into world. Bank machine, library, city yard, grocery store(s), any other shopping like Target, home, put everything away. Collapse. Get back up, do laundry, clean kitchen, sweep floors, wash bathroom, whatever. Occasionally have appointments like doctor, vet. If it's an alternate Monday, be done by 5pm so can go visit friends. If it's the other Monday, make dinner, clean up. Think about week, pack computer bag, tv/net/IM/phone, bed around 2am.

Thoughts: Too much net. Too few people. Also, no picture taking or other creative pursuits built in to routine. Should change that. Should also eat breakfast at home, but would need to wake up earlier. Probably should shoot for 1am bedtime so get 8hrs sleep regularly.

So what does YOUR routine look like?

From Metafilter: A year from yesterday, George W. Bush will no longer be President. So here's yet another online quiz to help you "Test your party preference". But the policy questions in contention in this quiz may seem surprising to many Americans.

These are the top 106 books most often marked as "unread" by LibraryThing's users (as of today). As usual, bold what you have read, italicize what you started but couldn't finish, and strike through what you couldn't stand.
