Oh no! Steve Irwin died today, killed by a stingray. I am so sad! Talk about a guy full of life.

It's truly terrible and yet, as I putter around the house today, I find myself occasionally muttering "Crikey!"

I thought the story was a hoax at first -- I didn't know a stingray could kill a person! Watching the Animal Planet stuff about him made me teary, especially watching him talk about his wife and kids. So sad.
