llcoolvadBlah blah work blah blah promotion. Blah blah interview blah blah waiting.
I will perhaps go into more detail later. Patrick was complaining lately that I never post any photos. And he's totally right. I TAKE them all the time, but I never post them. So I decided I'd post some of the quick shots I took of my recent creations. My favorite is always the latest, so here's that:
The colors are a bit less vibrant than that, more of a periwinkle blue. Also, I didn't make the wire patterned part, but that's on my list of things to learn. Right now I'm just about stringing beads, learning basic wire manipulation, and stuff like that. Restful.
My other favorite is this hematite collection:
Took me a while to get the necklace done. The little sterling silver beads were tiny, so stringing those was a pain. I will probably restring to get the necklace a little shorter, actually. Plus I'm better at crimping now, so I will actually put that on wire instead of the cord it's on now. I wore the earrings and bracelet to the blah blah interview, above, for luck!
The rest of the set here: Stuff I made. I wear the amethyst earrings a lot, probably more than all the others combined. Those were my first. That's probably why I like them.
And did you know? Jewelry-making? Is expensive! Well, bead buying is expensive. But they're so pretty! I am going to have ALL THE BEADS! So much for buy nothing (much) year.
Also next on my creative to-do list is to get a decent light box and lights for taking photos of things like that. Because I like taking photos. And because these are all pretty awful.
