so tired, but for a good reason

Yesterday I wanted to hit everyone with sticks, and today I am jolly happy sunshine. The difference? Brian got a job! Starts on Friday. Two incomes again, bliss!
Tomorrow I'll probably be back to grumpy because I am surrounded by snow and sick of feeling hemmed in, and because there is ever more snow falling from the sky. I DID NOT MOVE TO BUFFALO, people! I live in Massachusetts. ENOUGH ALREADY.
Monday had some bright moments; I went to hang out with Stephen and Val in the evening for food and gossip. That was pretty good. And I got some chores done that required a bit of running around. But mostly I wanted to hit people with sticks.
Today I'm exhausted. I never get to bed before 2, but last night I was awake until well past 2:30. Brian was up around 7 for his job interview, so I of course woke up. Then I managed to doze from 7:30 to 9:00, but I don't think there was much actual sleep in there. I looked out the window at 9 and realized it was pouring snow, so I called in "working from home" to work. I had forgotten to drop off my rent check at my landlord's yesterday, so I felt obliged to do it today, and man, the roads SUCKED! Between 7:30 when Brian had left, and 9:30 when I got out there, there was already 2" at least. During the maybe 1 mile round trip I almost slid into several mountains of snow. Missed, but just barely. Crept home, parked, decided out was no fun. Started working. Kept waiting for Brian to get home, was nervous for him. He was supposed to go to a dentist appointment after his interview, but the office wanted to close so they rescheduled to Thursday; this meant he got home earlier than he might have, so I was happy about that.
We were pretty sure that he'd hear very soon about the job (they were very anxious to get the position filled ASAP) so each time his phone rang I got all anxious. The call finally came in while he was downstairs where I couldn't hear it, so he told me by coming back upstairs and saying "We're going to have to rearrange the cars on Friday." "Oh, ok, why?" "Because I have to go to work." YAY!
Could this be a crack in the dam of suck around me and mine? Let's hope so.
