back up your LJ!!

In light of the LJ layoffs, I remind everyone (every PC user) of ljArchive. Back up your journals! It only takes a minute or two.

I suspect it's post-migraine brain fog, but... I can't for the life of me figure out how to use ljArchive.

I installed it almost a year ago so my memory is a little dim, but as I recall, once you install it you just have to add in your lj name (probably password, too) and then it does it all. IN the upper panel will be all your entries in list form, and then in the lower panel will be the entry your cursor is on. Then each time you launch it the program will autosynch, or you can choose Tools > Synch from the panel.

If you have two lj accounts and want to back up both, go to File > New Archive and it will guide you through it. Basically you just put the two (or more) accounts in separate folders. You end up with an archive file in each folder, so if you want to look at one journal archive you just double click on the archive inside the folder.
