Still Saving Internet Radio!

An update: So far it seems that Internet radio has a reprieve. The greedy RIAA, represented by SoundExchange, has agreed to try to come to terms and make the crushing new royalty rates more reasonable.
For many of the largest webcasters, the biggest issue was the $500 per month per channel fee, which for webcasters like Pandora (where each user gets an individualized channel) would be horrific; SoundExchange has proposed a cap of $50,000 per year for that, but only if webcasters try to prevent streamripping and also provide more detailed data on what they're playing.
The more I read the more confused I get, though. Because it does seem that there is some clarity lacking about the cap. However, SoundExchange's own site would seem to confirm it. Sigh?
All I know is Radio Paradise is still up, and I am happy for that.
