Books Galore!

Ye Gods! Insta-library! Is this the coolest thing ever, or what? I mean, you need a bunch of free shelf space, but still! 1,082 titles fresh to your door, for a mere $7,989.99! That's $7.38 per book. Now, they ARE paperbacks, so that's not INSANELY cheap. On the other hand, it's not like you'd have to spend any time putting together a huge list, or lugging stuff back and forth to the car, or anything!

And free shipping! 700 pounds of stuff, delivered to your door by a (presumably) cute young UPS driver!

I hope this is still an option when I buy my house. It's almost too cool to pass up. Forget furniture! Buy books!

Well... being about half-way through acquiring a similar amount of titles for free, I can say that it's an awful lot of books. OTOH, the ones from Penguin probably don't smell bad and haven't been chewed on by animals, so the Penguin deal may still be the better bargain. Though I think if you have that much Tolstoy in one place at the same time your house explodes, or so I've heard.
