It's a pain when none of the new phones are as suitable as your old one.
Freecycle? Asking round all your friends to see if anyone's recently upgraded? (I have avoided having to buy a new phone since 2002 using this method.)
I broke the screen of my phone once by knocking it off a six-inch-high pile of books on to a stone floor. Gahhh.
