Pretty good day today, despite the Patriots' loss. I am no football fan; in fact, you might safely say I hate football thanks to overexposure in high school as a member of the marching band. But when it's the Olde Towne Team you just have to watch. Having twitter running while I was watching was more fun than it should have been; everyone is hilarious. Of course I found myself hitting the bathroom, getting a snack, reading twitter, etc. all throughout the game portion, and only paying attention during the commercials — at least right until the last few minutes. Nailbiter! Which we lost. I sent my season-ticket holding coworker a condolence text after. My fave commercials? Hmm. Clint was grimly awesome. A couple cute animal ones. The VW ones with Star Wars. Probably a few more.

Oh! I also loved halftime this year. Madonna is just awesome. I cannot believe that anyone thinks that the latest batch of popwannabes (including the Gaga) can hold a candle to her. Talk about over the top! She does so much with such a little nothing voice. Very impressive, and I've always thought so. And CeeLo in a bedazzled dress! Just awesome. So my twitter feed and halftime made the viewing fun.

Anyway, got some stuff done today, had a relaxing time with Mom, no fighting pretty much all week. I've carved out my space in the house, finally, my oasis of sanity, and it's allowing me to deal with the rest without losing my mind. Tomorrow I'm having some dental stuff done, so I'm expecting to be a little less chipper, but it's supposed to be 50 degrees out so that should make up for a lot.

The rest of this last week was pretty ordinary. Saw "Dracula" at Quannapowitt Players on Saturday with P. Dracula in whatever form should not be boring, people! Both P and I kept waiting for something, ANYTHING, to happen. Alas, the high point of the play was when a character brought a live rat onto stage. It was cute! And there was a couple of fake bats that fluttered around hanging from the ceiling that startled some elderly folk in the audience. That was slightly fun, too. The set was lovely, but they overused the smoke machine to give it "atmosphere". The music was good — apparently composed by the director's daughter. But the script was terrible, and most of the actors were lifeless, especially Dracula himself. And not in a good, undead kind of way. Oh! Enjoyed the (Audi? Acura? something) car commercial where all the vampires get dusted by they "daylight" headlights on the car.

Going to the Pompeii exhibit at the Museum of Science on Friday with Stephen. My office is one block from the museum, and I very rarely go. Should be cool. My mother hates it when I hang out with Stephen alone, because he's a married man and "what would people think?!" Seriously, she has said that to me. So I'm totally looking forward to telling her! Maybe I'll steal a line from "It's a Wonderful Life" — "He's making violent love to me, mother!"

Stuff to look forward to!
