I feel compelled to post, but I have very little to report. It was a week. Worked, hung out with Brian, hung out with Patrick, read some stuff, watched some stuff, did some stuff. Dropped the culled books off at the library woman's house, so that's awesome. Generated a giant box of paper recycling. Also good.

Health seems back to normal. No more swelling foot, muscle/tendon/whatever in leg is much less sore. Have a touch of raspy throat, so I'm hoping that doesn't turn into anything, but otherwise ok! Yay.

Just started watching "The Borgias" on (Showtime? I think?). Forgot how much I love Jeremy Irons. Seems pretty fun so far. Been loving season two of "Treme" (HBO). Awesome. Taping "Game of Thrones", but haven't watched an episode yet. Finding "The Killing" to be a little slow-moving, but still compelling.

About to launch into some more Scandinavian writers. Finished the last Henning Mankell, so I need a fix. Decided Jo Nesbo, Camilla Lackberg and Karin Fossum would be good places to start. Also reading a John Connolly book, who is not Scandinavian. I like to mix it up.

Been listening to the shiny new Thomas Dolby EPs "Amerikana" and "Oceanea". Also to a Colin Hay album from 2007. And a Michael Franti and Spearhead album from 2009 with Say Hey (I Love You) on it. It's totally dangerous to drive listening to that song, because the accelerator? She creeps up.

Want to go see "Thor" and "Fast Five" but haven't done that yet. Also interested in "The Vanishing of the Bees", but also haven't gone yet. I need to get out to the movie theater. I almost never go now. Is this a factor of age? Feh.

Never bought shoes like I had wanted to on vacation, so bought some flip-flops at Target, but still need work shoes. Mom sent me a link (Mom to the rescue) and although I never have bought shoes online before, I think I'm going to try it out. Me and my wide, duck feet. Although some are ghastly, I should be able to find SOMETHING there. I cringe at the inevitable shipping costs to return them, but hey, what can you do.

Sorry for the nap generation! As you were.
