Sand

So I'm hanging out with my pals Stephen and Val the other night, and we get dinner at this clam shack-style beach restaurant near where they live. The food is good and it's nice to sit by the beach. This time, however, there was sand sculpture, too!

Neptune?

Now I know that's not pro-level sculpture there, but it was still cool and unexpected. So then my friends tell me there's a big competition this weekend at Revere Beach, where all the real pros will be. Cool! This is a PSA for those of you who live in the Boston area and like that kind of thing. I am hoping to go, just to get some more pix!

Great photo of it! I love sand sculptures.

Thanks! It was a bit tricky to get, as there was yellow "caution" tape all around and small children gaping at it open-mouthed.

I guess I never realized I like sand sculptures until now! Massachusetts doesn't have the biggest beach culture, except for on the Cape. I think I'm going to head down to Revere tomorrow after work and try to catch a few more shots!

One of the things I love about Massachusetts is the clam shacks. I especially lik if all the seating at the clam shack is outdoors. Bonus points if the clam shack is in the shape of a clam bucket.....
