Surprisingly, the insulin injections weren't too bad. Trying to do the subcutaneous fluids -- that was bad. That requires the cat to sit still for five minutes or so with a needle in her back. Not A Happy Cat! Glad we don't have to do that, either.

So is the can't have a cat thing due to allergies? Poor you! [livejournal.com profile] sarcasticah keeps guinea pigs and thinks they're swell. They're very cute! I know it's not entirely the same thing, but pet=yes is better than pet=no.

I had a rabbit for seven years (while I also had two cats); after that experience I wouldn't have a primarily-caged pet again unless I could guarantee myself that it would have many hours every day out of the cage -- I had way too much guilt. But other people are probably much better caged pet owners than I was.

(In my defense, which is weak, GreyKitty wanted to eat Bunny very very badly, so free running around time was sort of impossible...)
