I can't tell you how relieved I am that you like the place after your first week (short as it's been)!! I really worried over the past couple of weeks that you'd regret starting at my company after getting settled, and while that's still a possibility, I suppose, I'm so happy you're happy so far!

Your position didn't exist before you got into it, so there isn't going to be any instruction on how to do your job. Same thing happened with me. I was used to that kind of ambiguity given my last job (which didn't exist until I got into it), but I remember sitting at my desk with exactly nothing to do for several weeks while I soaked up the culture and the company functions. You're going to be in a position to get a lot done in the time you're with us.

I haven't quite gotten used to the fact that we're now sitting about three desks away from one another yet, but I really love that we're working together again. The next time both of us get new positions, it definitely has to be as our own company.
