Me, I'm one who OD'ed on being dragged to the doctor as a child, so I tend to analyze the symptoms I'm having (unless they're same-old-same-old; I can tell you LOTS about tendinitis!) and decide on the need for treatment from there. WebMD has staved off several sets of worries for me, too.
