Of these, the only one I've seen semi-recently was "Veronica Mars." I thought it was completely unbelievable that she went ten years without doing any detective work. The whole problem Logan had with her is that it was so dangerous and she wouldn't stop. I always thought he should just face it that she is likely to die young and then be with her as long as he can. She, in turn, should keep him up to date on things so that it's easier for him to guess where she might be when she needs rescuing.

But given the ridiculous premise, the actual movie was fun. I mostly enjoyed seeing where everyone was after ten years (except Piz, who TEN YEARS LATER should have known better).
